Hotel and Resort App with Push Notifications

The Westin Hilton Head Resort and Spa on Hilton Head Island, South Carolina invites its guests to escape and relax at its beautiful resort located right on the beach.  The App Builder platform offered an easy and flexible solution for the Westin to build and launch its app to start enhancing guests experience in no time. The new Westin Hilton Head App on the App Store and Google Play enhances every guest’s experience.

The App

With so many ways to unwind, the Westin Hilton Head wanted to provide an app that gives guests all of the options right at their fingertips with a GPS enabled map, images, videos and links.   This lush tropical beachfront resort has 3 pools, a Westin Heavenly Spa, a Westin Kids Club and five onsite restaurants all of which are featured in the app.  For guests who want to re-energize at the spa, they can click on a link in the app to see the spa menu, hours and book an appointment.  The app also features a custom map of the property that shows the different areas of the hotel grounds.  Guests can also stay in touch with the Westin Hilton Head by going to the Facebook, Twiter or Instagram accounts that are featured in the app.

For guests who want to explore, the “low-country” of South Carolina has so much to offer.  Guests can see all the recommended activities in the area with clickable pins on the GPS enabled map to get directions to each point of interest.  Between Old Town Bluffton, South Carolina, the beach and biking path and Golf & Tennis guests will find whatever they are looking for in a vacation day trip.

Because the App Builder Platform is incredibly flexible, the Westin is able to offer a hotel app with custom itineraries.  The hotel app provides a private sign-in so that guests can privately access their custom itinerary or tour.  Does the guest like seafood restaurants and childrens’ museums?  The Westin concierge can create a specific tour for the guest(s) that they can download using a sign-in through the app.  As a premium feature, the personal touch of a customized tour for a guest can make a lasting impression.
